We had a very exciting week in our household. We were given our home study to proof read. Hopefully if all goes well, we will sign on the dotted line this weekend and send in our final copy on Monday. This ultimately means that we are completing one step and moving on to the next, which is very exciting. On one hand, it seems like it's been a long waiting process to this point, and on the other hand it's starting to hit home. Wait until we get the phone call...then it will really hit home =)
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this process of a home study, it is a serious of home visits and interviews (5 in total - about 3 hours each) which then is summarized into a report. I'm not sure what the old home study looked like, but the new ones as of this past December are only 17 pages long. Can you imagine, a 17 page write up on our lives? Yikes! Once this process is complete, then this report goes to both CAS and Jewels for Jesus and then we may officially be on the adopting list. Again very exciting. So we shall see what God has in store for us next.
Timing is everything! As we share our testimony of our journey, you will clearly see that God has a hand in every situation and that sometimes we just need to sit back and wait for the perfect timing to be blessed.
