So proud of Zach and Abby! Speeches were never my forte (clearly a Swackhammer gene =). They both rocked it!

McLaren F1!

Did you know that there is a car that can go 3 times faster than a Cheetah well  if not you’re going to hear about one.
It’s one of the most expensive car in the world.

It was named after Bruce McLaren in 1963. He was a famous racer.              

The first McLaren that was made for road driving was in 1993 and was called the McLaren F1.
It is capable of driving 391 km per hour and can get to 100 km per hour in 3.2 seconds.

The McLaren F1 cost 2 million to 4 million$

Family

Have you ever thought that someone could have 4 kids in about a year? Well my family did.

Could you guess what my speech is?

You're right if you guessed family!

I am in a family of 6, there are 2 parents and 4 kids. I think being in a family of 6 is interesting because I am not usually bored. I have lots to do with my family. In my family so many people live with me. Families can mean a whole lot of different things.

In a movie I watched, called Instant Family there were 2 people and they fostered 3 kids. 1 teenager and 2 younger kids. Once kids are in foster care and they get to 18 years old they leave the system. In the movie Instant Family it said that people don't usually adopt or foster teenagers. In Instant Family a lot of things go crazy, but in the end they adopt the kids and they all end up having an amazing life.

My family adopted my 2 older brothers. My brothers birth parents couldn't take care of my older brothers so then my family brought my brothers into a family that could take care of them and that loved them.

Adopting means that kids go to a family that can take care of them and love them. Adopting also gives kids homes that need a home.

About a year after my parents adopted they had me and Zach, TWINS! My mom said that "When she went to the hospital to figure out if she was pregnant and the nurse said that there were 2 babies! She went home to my dad and said are you ready to be a father of 4? And my dad answered with THAT'S AWESOME!!!" So my parents are parents of 4. My family having twins is interesting to me because there are 2 types of twins identical and fraternal. Me and Zach are fraternal. Another reason twins are interesting is because twins are in the womb at the same time.

My family also fosters. We foster kids that are in a foster family and their foster family is away on vacation or something like that. So then the kid sometimes comes to our house. My family fostering is interesting because some kids need a home and we can help. We foster kids around 3 and under, so they are very cute. The reason kids usually go to foster care is because their parents can't take care of them.

My final fact about my family is that we have borders. A border is someone who stays at our house because they need to live somewhere closer to where they need to get to. Like if they need to go to university, but they live far away from the university. So some people stay at our house. My family having borders is interesting because the people can be very fun. Also we can learn different thins about different people.
