Sing for Joy, to the Lord
Oh you righteous ones, it is fitting to be done
For the word of the Lord is true
He is faithful through and through
The earth sings of His unfailing love
He is faithful to you
(Chorus)
Looking back we can see the work of His hand
So we sing, on this rock we stand
He's our help, our shield we trust in His name
And our faith is not in vain
From heaven He looks down
On those who fear His name
Who hope in His unfailing love
You are in Him sustained forever
(Chorus)
It was the chorus that really hit me that night. As I was looking back at God's work, it was nothing short of a miracle. I remember the many tough days and nights we tried to put a smile on our faces and thought many of days that this trail would never end (we knew it would it just felt like it wouldn't) and now we can't stop singing for joy, and know very well that our faith was and never is in vain. Thank you God!
It's been a very busy time with school ending, visits with the boys most evenings, sleepovers for the long weekend,VBS for a week, and the boys coming full time. The official day was July 4th which will be greatly celebrated as their 'special day' (very similiar to birthday celebrations) and we look very forward to celebrating the work of God's hand also on those days. They are both truly a blessing and make us laugh A LOT and even sometimes cry tears of joy for no particular reason other than happiness. This past weekend we went to Grandpa and Grandma's and Uncle Cam's and they had a great time in the pool. We also went to Opa and Oma's to split wood for their wood stoves and they couldn't get enough of Uncle Mark's truck. We are loving every minute of parenting...and every minute with these two boys that we are truly blessed with! Although I think a number of you are laughing quite hard at my new found high laundry pile =) Here are some pictures of this past weekend at the park.
Good times at the park...on your mark, get set, GO!

Both above and below..too cute for words...

Of course we were listening to that cd around the same time (since it was our van) and I mentioned to Phil one night that its such a fitting song for you guys!!! How God has proved again that our faith is not in vain, although at some points it probably felt like that... Now we look back and see how God's hand was at work during all that time! Praise God. Seeing you guys with the boys and the smiles on all your faces is just amazing! Enjoy this awesome time, laundry and all :)
Great pics - glad everything is going so well. Thanks for sharing the words to that song - very fitting. :)
